The Play Of The Day
Feb. 2, 2000
08:22 AM EST.
Good Morning Stock Fans!
THE REAL PLAY TODAY - THE FED!
We are looking for a .25 increase today as the FED should let the market continue to choose how it trades. This particular FED is not known for raising in big chunks as some think he goes .50 higher today. It makes sense to raise it .25 for now. Then sit back and continue to look at data. One thing we know this market has is plenty of time. We aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and either is the market. So we will be looking for a .25 raise today. One thing is for sure CNBC will be wondering when the next rate hike comes about 30 seconds after we find out about this one. The market is so much a GAME!
Today's Play of The Day is: Banyan Worldwide (NASDAQ:BNYN)

This relatively still undiscovered B2B company (NASDAQ:BNYN) reported its quarterly earnings today. They came in with extremely impressive numbers as they reported earnings of $1.17 per share Vs a loss of $0.13 a year ago. They increased their revs by 56% over last year. The stock should trade up right off the opening bell today. It's been in a nice uptrend anyway. This news should make it a $30.00 stock in the coming days.

BONUS PLAY #2 Global TeleSystems Group (NYSE:GTS)

GTS Carrier Services operates 12,200 kilometers of fiber optic cable connecting 19 cities in 10 countries in Europe. And we thought the Anderson Group NASDAQNM:ANDR was hot. Global TeleSystems is the real deal folks! Bonus! There was a buyout rumor that came across the wires that Global Crossings would make an offer for the Company in the low 40's. Now I usually don't recommend buys based on rumors and I am not starting now. Global TeleSystems chart and business stand on its own, without the rumor. It is in a hot sector and that is where I want to go long!
