This company reported much better then expected earnings following yesterday's market trading. Ahead of the news the stock gained more then 1.00 as it closed higher on more volume. It traded as high as 24.00 in after hours once the news was released.

We are looking for this stock to get some major notice today right off the get go as it remains a great value play and can even find its way into the high 20's over the next few days and still not be considered overvalued. We will look to get in this stock about 39 mins after today's opening bell and we will be looking for 4 points on this one as we should have plenty of followers on this stock today.

Bonus Play # 1 : Mechanical Technology Inc. (NASDAQNM:MKTY)

Mechanical Technology manufactures and sells precision diagnostic and measurement instruments and incubates alternative energy technology. For the fiscal year ended 9/30/99, revenues decreased 39% to $12.9 million. Net loss from continuing operations totaled $10.7 million, up from $2 million. Revenues suffered from continuing weak market conditions. Net loss also suffered from an increased loss in Power Plug joint venture... Now here is the skinny! MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGY: (MKTY) $46 1/4 and traded on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange..... It's a little known fact that MKTY owns 32% of Plug Power (PLUG). MKTY has a little less than 11 million shares outstanding. At yesterday's close of $77 3/4, Mechanical Tech's 13.7 million shares is worth $1,065,175, in over a billion!!! Our math tells us that MKTY's ownership in Plug Power is currently worth $96 per share. Earnings will be announced on Feb 3
